Nina Mohseni of Sandler Travis & Rosenberg will discuss the basics of export compliance for freight forwarders including BIS and DDTC export controls, OFAC sanctions, and the Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Regulations.  Nina, to be joined by Donna Bade of ST&R, will cover the most common compliance pitfalls for freight forwarders and tips on how to prevent or address them, such as best practices in filing EEI, the different types of export screening, and how to use your best discretion in considering and preparing voluntary self-disclosures.
