CCBFA Presents: Avoiding Seizures: Understanding IP and its Impact on Customs Entries

As part of this seminar, Mr. Craven will review the various Intellectual Property (“IP”) related issues that can arise involving import transactions.   He will discuss trademarks, both statutory and common law, and the ability of trademark holders to interfere with the importing process.  Mr. Craven will also review basic principles of patent and related protections and their impact on the importing process.  Finally, Mr. Craven will review the rapidly changing area of copyright and the impact on trade.
